About this deal

Pro tip: If you play regularly, rotating between two or three pairs of shoes (i.e wearing a different pair each match), will help you get significantly more life out of your shoes and therefore save money in the long run. Giving shoes the time to fully dry will help to avoid the ‘stink’ that often retires squash shoes to an early grave. On to the list of the best squash shoes in 2022

Next the Adidas Crazyflight. That’s right it’s not Asics, these are Adidas. Uh these are the shoes that Paul Coll wears, he’s a top five uh former world number one player. So we know that these perform on court. I got a separate review of these and all these other shoes in this video. Um these are 390 grams so they’re getting up there on the scale so that’s nice cushioning good grip on court on these. The cosmetics, I think look super cool. I love the Adidas look and how these shoes in particular look. My biggest gripe with these was I just had some fit issues. The heel cup was like kinda small on my my just foot felt sort of funny in there. For me personally, I didn’t like the fit of these but Uh but I know they work for Paul Coll and they look pretty cool so you might wanna try out some Adidas. Oh the other problem I have with these is the lacing’s a little bit weird. They’re like it’s like very spread out Um I don’t know why. Made it hard to keep them laced up and feeling tight on me. But I’ve used these. I’ve been playing padel in these or “padel” as we say here in Philly and I just like them. They’re comfortable. They’re cushioned. They feel good on my feet and on my knees. Just on the squash court they just weren’t quite as maneuverable…as I like. Um I usually like to get something a little lighter and a little faster which is although granted a little harder on my body. But hey uh so but this is these are a cool Adidas option. If you like Adidas you want to try the Paul Coll model Adidas Crazyflight. The Hawk squash shoes are a relatively simple model with a colorful, eye-catching design. It features a low profile that helps you remain connected to the ground, increasing stability and grip, with a hexagonal traction pattern on the non-marking rubber outsole. On the outside portion of the sole, at the heel and metatarsal area, there are two LMSplus 8° areas which increase lateral stability, and prevent skidding when moving in a lateral pattern. You will find that most squash shoes are fitted with white or orange soles: this is to help ensure that your shoes do not leave a mark on the floor of the court, which is one area of etiquette in the game of squash.Often, you will see the first signs of wear on the sole. Your shoe will develop smooth spots, and much like tires on a car, you will have a difficult time having the traction you need to support your game. Overall though, an incredibly comfortable, supportive shoe with unique technology that sets these apart from the competition. As with most Adidas shoes, make sure to go up half a size to ensure a good fit. The best squash shoes in 2022: Lightweight shoes If you drag your toe or the side of your foot when you play, the upper part of the shoe might start showing signs of wear. Watch for holes in the toe or near the ball of your foot. What squash shoes do the pros wear? Product Image

The New Balance brand is one with a string reputation in the world of athletics and fitness shoes, and this model would sit at the upper end of the mid-market in terms of quality and price. However, we do have a certain concern about this one, which we will come to in a minute. They retain a fantastic amount of durability, with the sturdy rubber toe protection holding up to a significant amount of wear and tear The downsides of these are firstly that the extra cushioning means they are a little bit heavier and higher off the ground than the Asics Gel Fastball. If you want the speediest shoe, get the Fastball. If you want a little more cushioning, try the Renma. Another issue that’s on my radar is the toe of these shoes is not very breathable, which might result in some stinky shoes. I’m going to be keeping an eye on that over the course of the next few months to see how it pans out.

One caveat on the Gel Tactic: they keep changing the design (of course). The older versions are good shoes too, if you can find them. The previous model was called simply the Asics Gel Tactic. This is where I found the shoes didn’t work too well for me under heavy use, and it really does pain me to say this, as for all intents and purposes I love the Eye brand – the shoes struggled when it came to durability. Whether you’re looking for a lightweight pair to help you fly around the court, or a more protective, sturdy pair to help stay injury free, there’s a pair of shoes out there for everyone. The Asics Gel Tactic has been one of my go-to recommendations for a few years now because it’s a good balance of comfort and durability, for a competitive price. It’s hard to beat the value for money of this one.
