About this deal

The purpose of the level 3 technical qualification is to ensure students have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment or higher level technical training relevant to the T Level. NCFE spearheaded the development of the technical qualifications that sit at the centre of the following 3 health and science T Levels: University College Birmingham is one of the first colleges in the UK to offer the new T-level qualification, which combines learning in the classroom with gaining vital ‘on-the-job’ experience. On our two-year health course, you will learn about working within the health and science sector, good scientific and clinical practice, infection prevention and control in health-specific settings, alongside developing key practical and technical skills for the sector. In the second year, you can begin to specialise by choosing either an adult nursing or mental health nursing pathway. This is part of the annual provider review carried out by the Quality team, is mandatory and must be completed and returned to City & Guilds by the last working day of October. A study programmes, which has been co- designed with employers to give you the skills industry needs. There are 3 components to the T Level course: The Core Content, Occupational Specialism; and Industry placement.The occupational specialisms provide students with knowledge and skills required to enter employment or further study in the specific occupational area. All T Level students will complete a 3 month pavement working in the laboratories of one of our partner organisations, such as Addenbrooke's Hospital or the Medical Research Councils Laboratory of Molecular Biology. There are 3 components to the T Level course: The Core Content, Occupational Specialism; and Industry Placement, to achieve the T Level you must pass/complete all three, each is assessed in a different way. The overall grade is calculated from these.
